Door mirrors on modern Land Rovers are complex assemblies. Depending on the model and trim, they can include heated glass, electric adjustment, power folding, an indicator, a puddle lamp, a blind-spot warning light and a surround-view camera. Classic Defenders use simple arm-mounted mirrors.
On right-hand-drive vehicles, the left mirror is on the passenger side and is often clipped by passing obstacles on narrow tracks. Individual parts such as the glass, cover or indicator can usually be replaced without buying the whole mirror.
