Understanding Right Front Seat
The right front seat is the driver's seat on right-hand-drive Land Rovers. It wears fastest, especially the outer side bolster that you slide across when getting in and out of a tall 4x4. On higher trims it can include electric adjustment, memory, heating, cooling and massage, plus a side airbag.
Driver seat frames, motors and switches can also wear, and a broken seat frame or recline mechanism is a safety issue.

Common Questions About Land Rover right front seat
Can I replace just the worn bolster?
Yes. A trim specialist can replace the bolster section of the cover and the foam, which is far cheaper than a new seat.
Why won't my electric seat move?
Check the fuse, the switch and the wiring under the seat first. Objects jammed in the runners can also stop a seat. A failed motor can often be replaced on its own.
Is a loose seat back dangerous?
Yes. A seat back that moves unexpectedly could fail in a collision. Have the recline mechanism and frame checked.
