Understanding Air Suspension Valve Blocks
The valve block contains electrically operated valves that direct air from the compressor and reservoir to each air spring, and let air out when the vehicle lowers. It is connected by plastic air lines with push-in fittings.
Valve blocks fail when their internal seals wear or when moisture and dirt get inside, often because the compressor's air dryer has stopped working. A leaking valve can let the whole vehicle or one axle sink, and air lines can crack or be damaged by debris off-road.

Questions
Common Questions About Land Rover air suspension valve blocks
How do I know if the valve block is leaking?
If several corners drop together, suspect the valve block or reservoir. Spray soapy water on the valve block and fittings with the system pressurised, and look for bubbles. A workshop can also isolate each line to find the leak.
Can a Land Rover valve block be repaired?
Seal kits are available for some valve blocks, and a leaking O-ring can sometimes be replaced. If the solenoids are faulty or the body is corroded, replacement is more reliable.
What causes valve block failure?
Moisture is a common cause, usually from a failed air dryer. Dirt entering through damaged lines, and age, also wear the internal seals. Replace the dryer if moisture is found.
Should I replace air lines at the same time?
Inspect them, and replace any line that is cracked, hardened or chafed. Use the correct size line and push-in fittings, and cut lines squarely so the fittings seal.
