The right front seat is the driver's seat on right-hand-drive Land Rovers. It wears fastest, especially the outer side bolster that you slide across when getting in and out of a tall 4x4. On higher trims it can include electric adjustment, memory, heating, cooling and massage, plus a side airbag.
Driver seat frames, motors and switches can also wear, and a broken seat frame or recline mechanism is a safety issue.
