AdBlue system and NOx sensors (2016 model year on)
Diesels from the 2016 model year use AdBlue SCR. Running out immobilises the car, and overfilling can damage the NOx sensors.

Exhaust and emissions parts for Land Rover diesels and petrols, including DPF and EGR components.
Exhaust and emissions parts on the Range Rover (L405) depend on the engine: the diesels (3.0 TDV6 / SDV6 turbodiesel and 4.4 SDV8 turbodiesel) use emissions hardware that is specific to each engine family, and manifolds, pipes and sensors differ between them.
Diesels from the 2016 model year use AdBlue SCR. Running out immobilises the car, and overfilling can damage the NOx sensors.
All diesel L405s have a DPF that needs high-speed driving to regenerate; blocked filters need forced regeneration, cleaning or replacement.
L405 parts requests are led by air suspension (air struts, compressors, height sensors, valve blocks), diesel turbochargers, NOx sensors and AdBlue parts, DPFs and V6 diesel intake manifolds. Diesel owners from the 2016 model year on should keep an eye on AdBlue levels, because running out immobilises the vehicle and overfilling can damage the NOx sensors, both of which lead to parts orders that are avoidable.
The usual causes are a failed gasket at the manifold or downpipe, a split flexi joint, a rusted pipe or silencer, or a loose clamp. A workshop can find the leak quickly with the vehicle on a lift.
Yes. Land Rover exhausts are made in sections, so you can replace just the damaged section. Fit new gaskets, clamps and rubber mounts at the joints you disturb.
For how these parts work and the signs of wear, read the Land Rover exhaust guide.
Share the VIN and engine number and the SparesBoyz parts team will check fitment before quoting.
