Understanding Glove Compartment
The glovebox is the storage compartment in the dashboard on the passenger side. On many Land Rovers it includes a latch, damper, light and sometimes cooling from the air conditioning. On some models the fuse box or other components sit behind or near it.
Latches and dampers wear with use, and a glovebox lid that drops open on rough roads is a common annoyance.
