Understanding Left Rear Seat

Rear seats on most Land Rovers split so you can fold part of the seat for longer loads. The left rear seat section may be a separate seat, part of a 60/40 or 40/20/40 split bench, or on seven-seat models such as the Discovery 3, Discovery 4, Discovery 5 and Discovery Sport, the second row may slide or fold to reach the third row.

Rear seats carry child seat anchor points and seat belt buckles, so check these are intact on any replacement.

Questions

Common Questions About Land Rover left rear seat

Why won't my rear seat back latch?

A worn or bent latch, a broken release cable or debris in the latch can stop it locking. An unlatched seat back is dangerous in a collision, so repair it before carrying passengers or loads.

Are rear seat sections sold separately?

On many split benches, yes. Tell us which section you need, as the split layout differs by model and year.

Do rear seats need to match the vehicle's seat configuration?

Yes. Five-seat and seven-seat versions of the same model can use different second-row seats and mounting points.

What should I send to order a left rear seat?

The VIN, the seat configuration, trim colour and a photo of the seat.

Not sure which part fits?

Send your VIN or engine code and the SparesBoyz parts team will check fitment before quoting. Parts are couriered nationwide.
